Spiritual Guidance Network

Description

The Spiritual Guidance Network was born to answer the needs of those who are feeling increasingly isolated, alienated from spiritual/religious traditions in which they were raised or simply seeking answers to life’s increasingly complex questions.

Our goals are to offer a resource if you are:

  • Facing a life crisis
  • Making a major decision
  • Working to resolve a conflict with a friend, family member or co-worker
  • Trying to make meaning of a particular situation in your life
  • Seeking a spiritual path, or re-examining the tradition in which you were raised

Those we offer guidance to may or may not be affiliated with a religious institution or spiritual tradition. Our guidance on the journey is not tied to any agenda. We don’t represent or promote any particular religious belief. We are not here to tell you what to do, but to be with you on your journey and to hear what is important to you.

What our clients have in common is that they are seeking comfort or counsel, or are simply looking for someone to accompany them on their spiritual journey, even if they aren’t sure what that is.  People needing guidance during a spiritual crisis often don’t know where to turn, and we want to offer them a range of options.  A spiritual crisis can occur when we are in grief, when we change careers, when a child grows up and leaves home, when a relationship ends, when a person loses faith or on a number of other occasions.

The idea for this organization also came partly out of our need to be supported in our own spirituality, whatever form(s) that takes.  The three of us live according to a set of values that come from more than one belief system.  We know how important it is to be free to express this, to connect with the sacred, with divinity in the way/s that move us, without being limited to one way of communicating with that Spirit.  We honor the divine spark that lives in each of us, and we have seen that people long for places where their beliefs can be respected without judgment, where their hearts and spirits can be fed.  We seek to create that opportunity through this network.
